Description

Souk Al Haraj is the largest automotive hub in the MENA region opened in 2016 featuring car showrooms, car accessory shops, as well as other retail shops including supermarkets, restaurants, Banks, Money Exchange, Insurance, and other retail markets. There have been 2 phases of development wherein Alpha Island was involved across multiple divisions of both phases with successful completion. 

Brief Scope and Execution of works

The most recent development phase of the project (March 2021) involved the Electrical, Street Lighting Infrastructure and Fire Hydrant External Network system development alongside Consultant HSS and Main Contractor National Contracting & Transport Co. The project was efficiently coordinated, resulting in handover well within the 12 months timeline. Below are further details of our scope:

  • Street lighting: Supply & installation of Street light Columns, LED fittings, SL feeder Pillars & associated power cables

  • Firefighting and Pump room: Fire hydrant system pipes, sprinkler system network, hose reel, pressure modulating valves, chambers, barricades and associated ancillary infrastructure development, MEP for underground water tank

  • LV network: network: Supply & installation of LV Cables, LV feeder pillars complete with testing & commissioning

  • 11KV Network: Supply & installation of 11kV cable network, 11kV substations including 1000KVA transformers & 1500KVA transformers, their RMUs, LV panels, internal cabling, GRP Kiosk, complete as per authority standards
