Process

Mobilization

Following the contract award, we immediately start laying out a robust mobilization program involving the whole project. Key initial control plans to be established are: Site Survey, Design/Procurement, efficient and accurate Estimations, Document control system, Project Quality Plan including method statement, HSE plan, setting up site office and accommodation and early temporary materials procurement.

Planning and Design

Engineering personnel will coordinate to produce shop drawings within performance parameters. We have up to date in house design capabilities for all electrical networking, HVAC, and Earthing systems. After implementation of changes and drawings submittal. We will secure competent, reliable, and compliant sources for procurement. This involves a complete:
  • Procurement program
  • Materials submittal for
  • Client approval
  • Contract terms, approved drawings and specifications
  • Material deliveries
  • Procurement tracking report
    We undergo thorough review and planning stages to ensure reliability:
  • Full mobilisation and construction program
  • Program monitoring, control and weekly review
  • Work package program for subcontractors

Warehousing

  • Status recording and reporting of materials arrival to concerned teams
  • Upon delivery of materials, inspection of delivery documentation against order
  • Check for mismatch in quantity and damages
  • Notification to site QC and database/warehouse records entry
  • Issuance of material made on request

Execution

The Execution of the project is carried out within stringent control parameters approved by engineers. We set out:
  • Short term programs to direct and control works
  • Weekly and monthly productivity/procurement/design reporting as well as QC and HSE reporting
  • Formal prequalification of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Updating of method statement and schedule
  • Inspection and testing and commissioning of installed equipment (control sheets)
  • Fault finding and diagnostic processes
  • Monthly update of contract program
  • All HSE standards are reviewed, and relevant training is provided
    The coordination of major subcontractors and specialists:
  • Monitor material and drawing submittals and timely processing of such with client
  • Coordination with internal/external parties to ensure potential problems are highlighted and reported

Quality Assurance

Ongoing Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Contract administration and Document Control in order to administer and protect Alpha Island Tech financial relationship with client, consultant, subcontractor and supplier.

  • Monitoring of process control documentation, inspection and test planning and associated work execution
  • Establishing coordinated inspections and tests and associated records
  • Settlement of final costs
  • Variations in scope or drawings
  • Environmental impact and electromechanical condition surveys
  • Meetings and communication with clients
  • Internal audits of documented QMS
  • Holistic in-house training on the QMS to project personnel

Contractual Duties

  • Transfer of employees between projects
  • Personnel needs and administrative evaluations in liaison with Human Resources Department
  • Coordination with government and authorities to ensure all forms of security for all parties
  • Alpha Island Tech enjoys working closely with a client over several years, developing a common strategy and goal for the client to minimise infrastructure failures and business disruption (PPM & AMC) (if applicable)
  • Defect Liability Period – extended depending on project circumstances
